Who We Are

Smythe Street Youth is the youth ministry of Smythe Street Cathedral in Fredericton, NB, Canada. It is lead by Tony Curtis and an awesome team of leaders dedicated to reaching this generation with the message of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to create a place where students ENGAGE their faith, EQUIP themselves in God’s Word, and EXTEND themselves to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our world!

How We Roll...

You may wonder how things work here at Smythe Street Youth. We don't necessarily follow any one particular youth ministry model. You could say it's a mesh of a lot of different ideas. Our service on Thursday nights is a combined service that is open to all from grade 6 on up to college & career level. We love "having church" and "being the church." The relationships that are developed between our Middle School, High School and those who have graduated are important. Many of our College and Career young adults are often leaders and positive role models for the younger generation to follow and receive mentorship from.

Our services are designed with YOU in mind! They are energetic and always marked by an overwhelming presence of God. We love to have fun and often incorporate a game or a somethin' a little crazy in whatever we do. Tony is well known for his "no holds barred" speaking. Yes, he will throw in a little "corny" humour for FREE! (Inherited honestly from his father) It's our goal that students who come to services are impacted in such a way each week that they go away different than the way they came in! We often encourage altar ministry time where you can meet with God one-on-one and the strength needed to live a "high impact" life for Jesus Christ!
